What's the problem?
Learning is not easy and most people do not like them. If asked to choose between laying down on the bed, binge-watching Netflix, and sit down in the chair then start to study, people will probably jump right into the bed and start to relax. Not all of us, but most of us right? Simply because we have no motivation for learning anything, especially during the quarantine time. Some of us have a mindset that we're having a whole bunch of time to do everything, so why don't we delay the task until tomorrow? And then tomorrow, we continue to say "we actually have a whole month in quarantine, missing today is okay because we can do it tomorrow!" Gradually this reputation occurs and somehow we have one of the worst habits which is procastination.
Being lazy is not what we want! We want to be successful, having lucrative income in the future, gaining a dreaming house, dreaming car, and other huge dreams. However, life is not easy, it will never lead you to a straight flat path to go from the start to the finished area without putting in any effort. Life is full of challenges, and overcome the sense of laziness is one of them. But how? How can we get rid of it even just a little? how can we foster our motivation in not just learning but doing many other things? These are the three tips that I collected from my daily life to share with everyone who is struggling with it. I will probably post more tips about this topic, so stay tuned!
The tips:
Decorating your study space
Some people may think this does not affect our study at all. It does not affect you because you have not done it in the right way! Believe me, this is actually so effective if you are 100% decide to decorate your study space in purpose to trigger a sense of motivation.
There are some decoration things that I recommended:
Laptop shelf
the bookshelf that appropriates for the desk ( look at the picture below if you do not sure what this is)
Some cute stickers to put on the wall
Pens, pencil shelf

Putting your goals on the wall right in front of where you usually sit to study can be a good idea too. You can see your goals categorically, and that somehow can create a feeling of wanting to achieve those goals, leading you to sit down and action for your bright future. You can also decorate the front wall with some motivational quotes or your maxim about life. For instance, my maxim is "Just try" so I write these two big words onto the wall with a neon color to catch my attention. So whenever I sit down and start to study but having no motivation, these two words will give me the energy to do that.
For some people that do not want to squander money on those things, the next tip is for you!
Always keep it neat! Always!
Try to simplified your study space as much as possible. Maybe a laptop, a notebook and a pencil on the desk are all you need. Or you have various highlights, pens, and pencils, then put all of them in line. Put your laptop parallel to your notebook, make the desk looks simple but neat and comfortable. If you only have few things to put on the desk, but you do not keep your desk neat, you probably laying on the bed right after seeing the mess on the desk.
Or even if you already did some decoration for your desk like what I said in the above tip, then again, try to keep it neat as much as possible. You're having lots of stuff on your desk right now if you already decorated. If you did not clean them up, that absolutely the culprit to why you cannot even touch your tasks! No one want to study on a desk with a whole bunch of messy stuff and trash! You really have to do something if you look at your desk right after reading this paragraph, and what you saw was terrible! Then, please, act, clean and neat. Don't be procrastinated ! Do it now and you will see the different!

One-minute rule
What is a one-minute rule? it is actually simple to understand this concept. It means you try to do something in one minute! Sound silly right? This rule requires you to do anything that you do not want to do at the moment only in a minute. Why? if you are asking to gain motivation before doing something, then that's hard. Motivation never comes when you are not into something and have not put any effort into it. Motivation actually comes when you start to act. Right when you decided to decorate and keep your desk neat, you are gaining your motivation already, because you start to do something instead of hoping to have motivation.
Go back to the rule, why only one minute but not two minutes or three minutes? Requiring you to do something you hate, more than two minutes seem like living in hell! Less than one minute is a bit little, so I think one minute is the best choice.
So how does it impact your motivation? utilizing homework as a salient example, you are having homework to complete at the moment; however, you do not want to do it at all, you have no motivation in finishing it, sit down and apply the rule. Meaning, do your homework in just one minute first. If you have not done anything after that one minute, try another one minute. Somehow you might find that the task is not so hard to complete. So you continue to try another minute and another minute, you gradually sink into it and do not even know that you actually doing it for an hour.
Maybe, it does not sound effective to some people but it is still a good way to gain motivation for someone that feels appropriate with this rule.
There will be more tips later, so stay tuned!
